The air conditioning unit was noisy and hard to manage. It squealed all night, which made it tough to get a good rest. I also noticed the bathroom door had some visible wear and scuffs.

Overall, the Best Western in Lawrence was a solid choice with friendly staff and spacious, clean rooms. Breakfast was quite nice, though the external building setup could be inconvenient, especially when taking kids to the pool. It was also a bit tricky to find, but worth the effort.
